This beautiful Sterling Silver Box w/Lid - was made in1822 in London by - the marks from l to r are... the Makers mark "RE over EB" for Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard - lion passant which is the sterling mark, an un crowned leaopard - the London City mark, date mark "g" 1822, the last mark is the profile portrtait of King William IV is the duty mark. It measures a square 3" x 3" and is 1 1'14 tall, the lid still fits tight and secure The crest on top is an engraved a griffin that also appears on the body of the box and is from the crest of the original owner There are small abrasions and scratche due to age - see pictures.
