Antique English Gergian Silver Sweetmeat Basket
by Robert Hennell, London 1789
The Basket would have been used for Sugar, Sweets and Cream and stand on a stepped oval pedestal foot. Both the front and reverse are engraved and decorated. Baskets is fully marked with silver mark in the foot.
Measures:
Length: 6 1/4 inches, 16.0 cm.
Width: 4 1/4 inches, 10 cm.
Height, to the top of the handle: 6 1/2 inches, 17 cm.
Weight: 6.57oz (204.3 grams).
